Candidacy, recovery, and safety
The protocol is not recommended for patients with active infection or inflammation in the area, certain allergies, bleeding concerns, a history of severe reactions, pregnancy or breastfeeding, or goals that would be better addressed with another modality. Candidacy is confirmed during your consultation, where your provider may also use facial ultrasound as an added planning and safety tool.
Patients who require thyroid imaging or have a history of thyroid cancer should avoid this treatment: Radiesse in the neck can interfere with ultrasound imaging of the thyroid.
