Platelet-rich plasma and platelet-rich fibrin treatments
PRP and PRF are autologous treatments, which means they are prepared from your own blood. A small blood draw is processed to concentrate platelets and growth-factor-rich components, then the prepared PRP or PRF is applied or injected as part of a personalized treatment plan.
At luma rejuvenation, PRP/PRF is used for skin rejuvenation, acne scarring, certain under-eye concerns, and hair restoration assessment. It is often paired with microneedling when the goal is texture and collagen induction.

Platelet-rich plasma and platelet-rich fibrin are procedures that we offer here at luma for concerns such as acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, dark spots and pigmentation, and hair rejuvenation planning. We take a small amount of blood and spin it in a centrifuge. This allows us to prepare a platelet-rich component that contains growth factors and can support collagen-focused skin plans or hair restoration treatment for appropriate candidates.

Candidacy, recovery, and safety
Because PRP/PRF uses your own blood, allergy to the prepared material is not the main concern, but sterile technique, correct preparation, and appropriate candidacy still matter. Tell your provider about bleeding disorders, low platelet counts, anticoagulant use, active infection, immune concerns, pregnancy or breastfeeding, cancer history, and medications or supplements that affect bleeding or healing.
